DCPAS is responsible for administering the Unemployment Insurance Program for appropriated funded former employees, which includes: drafting and reviewing policy; reviewing Department of Labor and State invoices; and system development. Serving as an intermediary between State Workforce Agency Coordinators and the Unemployment Compensation Program Manager, DCPAS ensures mandatory information is received within the prescribed timelines. Additionally, DCPAS provides technical support for the Defense Injury Compensation and Unemployment Compensation system, training for unemployment compensation specialists and program managers, and quarterly cost savings analysis for management.
