The Defense Civilian Human Resources Activity (DHRA) gave execution authority to DCPAS and the Defense Manpower and Data Center (DMDC) to lead the development of the Defense Civilian Human Resources Management System (DCHRMS) a cloud-based human resources personnel system that integrates six different databases into one. DCHRMS is a Human Resources Core transactional system that makes it more flexible to share information between Components while standardizing and streamlining personnel processes. Some of the guiding principles for DCHRMS include a single employee database for the DOD, a Performance Management Application, and self-service capabilities for managers and end-users.
