Senior Executive and Senior Professional Compensation Management
DCPAS provides policy, guidance, and advisory services for all matters pertaining to Senior Executive Service (SES) and Senior Professional (SP) civilian employees, including compensation management. The compensation of the Senior Executive Service and Senior Professional cadre is established within Chapter 53 of Title 5, U.S. Code. As a pay-for-performance system, Senior Executive and Senior Professional compensation is driven by a strong performance appraisal system ensuring that an individual’s pay is linked directly to results that contribute strategically to mission accomplishment. Additionally, Office of Personnel Management prescribed requirements enable agencies with certified performance management systems to compensate Senior Executives and Senior Professionals up to Level 2 of the Executive Schedule.
